Minnesota Snow

For the first time this winter, I actually needed to shovel!!! I am in shock. It's Minnesota and January is almost over and this is the first real snow fall (sort of) of the season. It's only a few inches that has accumulated. This is unheard of for Minnesota. I actually really enjoy snow and have been thoroughly disappointed at the lack thereof. We had freezing rain yesterday and I almost fell on my fanny a few times while shoveling but at least it's good exercise.

About a month ago, we bought Ella a baby size sled. She also got snow pants and a thick winter jacket for her birthday, all of which we are yet to use. After we bought her sled, I was pulling her around in the living room, no joke, we made trails in the carpet. Well pulling her around the dead grass covered yard wasn't an option because I'm pretty sure most of the neighbors think I'm "special" anyway. I am so excited that there is a little snow for us to go play in for a little while. This was the first winter since having her where we could really enjoy it. The next few days are supposed to be warmer, upper 30's or so. I know that is not that warm to most people but that is plenty warm for us. So excited to go outside and play.

I also cant wait to see the look on her face playing with snow for the first time!
